very, very deflated and showing a lot of skeleton...I'll take a pic in a moment. It's a good sized colony of red blastos...TLC advice would be great.

NP, I found this after I lost one of my first ones.

Good luck on nursing it back to health.

Is it your first Blasto?

thanks,
no I got this colony recently that came in very poor but is bouncing back nicely and also have a more common colony that I've had for quite some time that is doing very well.

It sure can recover. :D I'm glad my other thread was of help (thanks colinadam!).

Small foods are key when they are ill/weak IME. Get some cyclopeeze and go to town on it.

FWIW, I'd place them far away from the zoanthids. Zoanthids are very very unfriendly towards many LPS and you will likely see aggression between the two in time.

That was mine when I got it.

This is it after some recovery. It is now very large almost to the edge of the rock it is on when fully inflated. Mine eats mysis with ease. Sometimes pieces of grocery shrimp. I have some other blastos as well. 4 different colour varities in all.

Good luck

give it some medium flow and keep it away from strong light.it eventually heal and open up fully but it take times.
