Bluecarpet is correct. To purchase things in the auction, there is a $5 fee for non-members(flat fee, no matter how many items purchased). Most people think it's worth just joining the group, saving that auction fee(and any others at later meetings) and get the great discounts our sponsors provide. For a while now, we have had an auction at every meeting except for our Christmas party(held early to remove holiday onflicts for our members). Can't wait to meet you, semi.
Bringing frags not only benefits the members, but benefits the club in whole. 50% of the auction sale price goes to ORCA and the rest goes in your pocket. Great way to diversify the tank, make a little money, help out fellow reefcaretakers, and help keep our organization running. All of the money ORCA gets goes right back into the club, so you get what you paid for, insomany words. Hope this helps you out.
