when to add anemone

at what point can an anemone be added to a reef tank? i thought i remember hearing the tank needs to be very mature.?

Your tank should be well established. I think most recommend at least a year and have proper lighting as well.

ok, lighting is ATI PM 8x 80w. tank is new so i will wait the year or so. what is the year for anyway? just so i know

The wait is to allow the tank to mature as well as the 'reefer' to get the hang of handling the tank... stable and good parameters and all that. You have a good sized tank. What type of anemone are you thinking of getting? The lighting will probably be the biggest factor. How long have your tank been running? What else do you have in there?

Basically at or a round the year mark your tank has become mature and your parameters are generally stable.
