When to buy 6045

That is up to you, the clamp is being redesigned but the new one is a couple months away. The clamps are easy to replace and covered under warranty and while I have replaced a lot of them, proportional to what is sold I would have to say far less than 5% are breaking.

2yrs, I would say at this point we have resolved every issue except the clip and that we are working on at the moment.

How long is the warranty?

Warranty or not, the replacement clip is only going to be $0.50. OK, so it's not that cheap. :)

Tunze's replacement parts are very reasonable, and you can order anything from the tiniest screw to a new pump motor from their site, or through Roger. They stock parts for their pumps that were made 1,000 years ago.

I have been buying parts for my Streams for years. Let's see, I started with 6000s, and I traded transformers to convert them to 6100s. I upgraded the hangers to 6200 spec, and I upgraded the impellors to the easier to maintain one piece units. Only one impellor replacement was necessary (user error). The others were done for fun.
