I have about 30 reidi fry from three different batches . Ranging in size from 1/2 inch to 11/2 inches. When do i change from bbs to something else to feed them? the oldest fry are about 45 days old.

Whenever they'll take it!
I'd say they're large enough to try. Start out with cyclopeze and only small amounts when feeding normally. You can also try finely chopped mysis and shaved squid. However, once you do, start keeping really close eye on the water quality, so to notice any ammonia spikes from uneaten food.

You may also want to try growing out some brine shrimp to 1/4 size, and gutloading them well. Some of the larger ones I bet bbs looks too small to them right now.

i agree with trying cyclopeeze first. I soak the cyclopeeze in garlic extract for atleast 30mins... just put it in a lil dixie cup or something and put it in the fridge for 30min then rinse it well and add to the baby tank. Start out doing this for the first meal of every day cause this is when they are there most hungry. I leave it in there for about 30mins then suck out any left overs and then I add live food. I do morning feedings only for the first few days and then I add another feeding of the frozen at some point during the day. Watch closely to see how many eat it. Dont forget to still offer live foods regularly. Be consistant with your frozen training, thats the best advice
