When to do water change

I posted a thread on getting these zoas shipped to me that must've been smooshed in the shipping process. I put them in my bc 29 two days ago. If these zoas have any chance of recovery, will a 1-2 gal water change today give them more stress than benefits?

I would think it would do them good. Have they opened yet?

newp, haven't opened yet. The orange ones were poking their fringes out but no progress since Thursday night. Hoping they make it still.
