Whenever I see a white tip on a coral, I assume the worst. Most of the time, it's just new growth but sometimes, it's RTN, STN, or light burn. Yesterday, I noticed white tips on a couple of nice growing colonies. As usual, I tested everything and looked for pests. As usual, nothing was amiss. A few hours later, the white started looking better and it was pretty clear that it was new growth. It still gave me the willies.
