Anything underway from the Neptune systems, given that Android is in many more peoples pockets then iPhones? Would love to hear what someone from Neptune systems has to say.

From the info available, it appears that you would have to add a PM1

At the current firmware's capabilities, you can do most, but not all of the necessary configuration solely from the web page (without a display). Once the Apex Jr is out and the corresponding new v4.1 firmware for all Apex models is out, we're told that a display will no longer be needed. So, if you get a Apex or Apex Lite now, there are just a few things you won't be able to do initially. You could probably get by for n0w, then upgrade to the 4.1 firmware when it becomes available.
You will be able to use the VDM (Variable Dimming Module) with the Jr, which allows control of Tunze pumps, 0-10VDC dimmable lighting, and AquaIllumination Sol LED fixtures. A VDM is $100.

Their pricing is rather strange to me. I was leaning towards buying an Apex Jr, but by the time a pH probe and pm1 are added it's near the cost of an APex Lite and you only have 4 outlets.

I think the Apex Jr. will be a good seller for people who already own an Apex and want another controller for a QT tank. You can use the Apex Jr. as an EB4 when used in conjunction with another Apex controller

I dont believe that the apexjr can be used as an EB4 when it is launched. I asked Neptune and the response was:
Eventually the Jr may have such a feature but not on first release.
