Where can I buy purple substrate ?

I've looked at a lot of coral pics on RC, and a lot of the corals have outrageous colors and are being sold at outrages prices. What I finally realized is the owners of those corals have purple substrate (or purple eggcrate or purple frag plugs). Obviously the substrate contributes color to the corals ?

Where can I buy purple substrate so my corals are brightly colored and I can ask obscene prices for tiny frags?

Purple substrate also turns frag sized pieces into mother colonies ready to chop up. Double the use!

This has happened to me, bought from an on line vender and what i got looked nothing like the pic. Should have paid attention to the purple sand! Thats what i need PURPLE SAND !!!!!

Modern photoshop sales pictures remind me of the old wholesale sizing where the huge show size fish was a 2" juvie and the cute little baby monitor lizard was really a large wildcaught one with attitude :lol:

I think the purple substrate is only available to purple people. In all the pictures where there is purple substrate and you see a hand, it's always purple.

I remember several years ago when a handful of specialty color phases of Veiled chamleons (Ch. calyptratus calyptratus) were selling for huge sums. It took people a while to notice that the hand the chameleon was standing on in some photos was distinctly orange or purple, and ironically enough corresponded to the specialty color phases :lol:
