where can i find black and white perculas

I want some black and white clowns. Pet club told me they were gonna get some but they didn't look like perculas to me. They lady insisted they were but I think they looked like a black sebae.

lol.... Those ARE HARD to find.... O st has some in there big tank and she WONT sell them, She has been offered over $1000 for the pair, and she wont sell them, because they are rare and hard to come by...

Keep your eyes open you will find them eventually. I got a tank bred one a couple of years ago for $10 at Capitol. They had a whole bunch of them they got from a local breeder. I know Aquaworld used to get them in sometimes. It's grown pretty large, maybe 2" and is very happy. Don't settle for a wild-caught one, the tank bred ones are much more likely to do well.

The true black and white is hard to find but the one that has the orange mouth, there are a lot. Cost about $10 each.

Nu2SW, who offered $1000 for a pair of clown fish? Maybe they were just joking or had too much crack that day .. ..

Yes, mine has the faint orance around the mouth. I like it and the price was right. That pair that Peggy has at O st came from a friends tank. She wants to make sure they go to a good home if she sold them. It's not theat they are terribly rare, but a mated pair are harder to find and draw a lot of attention to the corals for sale.

I dont know who, but I told her that those were some good looking fish. Then we started talking about them, thats when peggy told me that someone offered that much for them, and said that she wouldnt sell them to anyone...

Plus her's arnt false they are the real thing and they are paired... So a Grand, from someone who has the money and wants them that bad.... wouldnt put it past them.

It's around $50 for a single guy a petco via ORA farms. Just FYI.

Otherwise, any other retailer that places orders with ORA farms are able to get them and it's usually not a problem.

Then again, if you're looking for a true Perc, have fun looking =). The false ones are just as cute though...

Petco here in Vacaville sells the black ones. Usually have an orange mouth, but two days ago they had some in that were totally black. $39.99 each. They have revamped their whole SW fish section - its looking really good !

I haven't been to the LFS recently but several months ago, there were a lot of them around. One of the LFS that I usually go to sold them for only $8.
They're usually cost about the same as the false pers.

I was by Vacavilles Petco today. They had about 5-6 of them. I believe most were misbarred. They're young so still have an orange mouth. Be careful of the largest one with the least orange mouth... it wasn't moving around much, but just staying in place. I believe they get regular shipments of these fish.
