Well, it went out yesterday and I ordered a new one right away...they said one day, but the UPS tracker says it wont' get here until 3/1. I was just worried about my carpet anem...hopefully it'll be OK.

I have a 14K 70watt HQI lamp from illuming that's brand new. I'm located in Berkeley.

Your carpet will be fine for a day.

If you have the cash, you should buy 2 bulbs to always have a backup.

I put some PC's on for the day. Actually, it went out yesterday, and I get the new bulb tommorow...that's 3 days...
