where can I get felt?

joannes sells it in precut sheets for like a nickle a sheet. thats where I get mine at. in the craft section. also comes in several colors.

I didn't know JoAnne Fabric was a national chain. I'm learning stuff I never wanted to know. Too bad Algae Free doesn't include more felt in their pad replacement kits.

so Gary , now that you are a felt expert what will you move on to next ? i think that you have the most knowledge of felt now that you could possibly be the "feltiest" guy around .i find it so odd that i can ask a very incisive question about reef fish or something else saltwater related and have to bump it three or four times just to get a response and you just come on here asking of felt and shazam ! you are God and truly have a very good following much to my amazement .i think i will see if i can post a tread and find out where to get sheer belly control panty hose . then i will get a huge response from all of RC as you have done . dude your the man !

michaels has both super glue and felt ! two birds one stone ? ummmmmmmmm actually gary at michaels they sell aleens metal magic for $3.99 a tube and it is 100% cynoacralate or what ever super glue is and its much cheaper per volume . i have used hundreds of them in my tanks for fragging and it works great .

I've had pretty good luck just putting a sock over the outer magnet. Don't burn through those to quickly.

yeah... I've used socks, hankies and all types of towels.

As it turned out MO had the felt, plumbing parts, superglue gel and epoxy putty that I needed. You can't replace having a good LFS!

I appreciate all the suggestions in this thread
