where can i get Novus by the Gallon

Novus4Less doesn't show a gallon size, the 8oz is $9.99
ReefGeek doesn't show a gallon either, but the 8oz is only $4.95
I would ask Greg to see if he can order a 1 gallon for you.

I've seen the 1 gal at S&W Plastic (near SoCal Creations) but didn't check the price. Hastings Plastics didn't have Novus when I was there last.

You might also check with Plastic Depot in Torrance/Carson.

LMK what you find out, I may want to get a 1 gal also.

my friend,

Micromesh is your friend. Start out with 1800 to 2400, to 3600, and then Novus 3 and Novus 2 if you're really "anal". I did a badly scratch tank in just 3/4 of a day to perfection (with only 4 oz of Novus 3)

i have bought the gallon of novus cleaner at S&W plastics. i am not sure about the 2 or 3.
honestly gabe if you are going to buff your lil heart out go buy some baby oil you may find yourself more satisfied.:D

lol...

i think with as much work as the tanks need i may try the micomesh...

i assume HD and lowes carry large quantities of it?

are you using a buffing wheel, like car detailers use? A big old pad???

and btw, when can I pick up the vortex, I want to try it out, if I like it I want to buy one... I am hopeful it works like a champ. I mean the results are great, I do understand it is difficult to get it running and stuff.

just call me when you are ready, or if you ahppen to be in my neck of the woods...

bill

ok.. well the micro mesh kit is $105 plus shipping...

i found a place in the valley that sells a gallon of #2 for $20 and a gallon of #3 for $25

their number is 818-982-0000

Nah, I ordered them online. Lowes & HD do not carry very fine-grits. You may have better luck with auto details place. I used the porter-cable 7424 polisher (you can use the adapter for the sanding) and it worked like a charm. I spent roughly 5-6 hrs for a badly scratched 100 gal tank.

ill try with the Novus... if that does not work.. ill call up a buddy that works for an auto-body shop and see if he can help me out...

i have that one that reefgeek sells...

i am going to be cheap and try the novus for $50..
