Not getting the answer you want to hear does not mean the moderators are unfair. In reality we all enforce the same rules as even handed as possible. Nobody likes to be told they are not permitted to do something, or that they are doing something wrong. Most people take it quite well. A small minority throw a spat, look to go over the moderators head, get more upset when that goes nowhere then proceed to beat the war drum trying to drive everyone away because they are no longer a happy camper on RC's web site.
It is easy to get comfortable (and you should be) posting with friends in your local club forum. RC staff does not see you as club members but as RC members and as with any member of the community each and every one of you are expected to follow the same rules as everyone else who posts on this site every day. When a post is in violation and is edited it does not matter that every single person in your club knows why or agrees with the edit. It is between the person who posted and RC staff. When someone see this
[violation]
they are well aware of what was removed and that should be enough, they know at that point what was posted was not permitted and should not be posted again.
When the violation is beyond a simple post edit the member will receive a message from a member of RC staff, and that person can trust the information being relayed to them is quite accurate. Most are able to take the correspondence as a learning experience and choose not to repeat those actions. Others are not able to comply with the really rather simple request and that usually ends up with that member removed from the community.
As it has been said many times over if you are not happy here go away, do not post. We will not allow posting to drive traffic off site or to bad mouth the community or its volunteer staff. There are a great number of members who enjoy this site and what it has to offer. They post, share information and are comfortable with how the site is maintained. Those folks who are not happy and continue to post here only bring it down for everyone else.
