where did everyone get an RODI unit?

I got the air water ice Typhoon, it is a pretty awsome unit. I was buying so much water that this thing will pay for itself in less than a year and I don't have to drive to get it.
 
The AirWaterIce units are very nice. I've had one of those and one of the ebay units. The AirWaterIce one worked much better than the latter. AirWaterIce is also a COMAS sponsor, so it is nice to support them when possible.

Another vote for Air, Water, Ice. The Typhoon III is an excellent unit, not to mention that the replacement filters are cheap. When purchasing a unit remember that you will have to change filters out, and sometimes they are as much as the unit!
 
Ok- well I looked up icewaterfire and its too much money for me to spend. I want to spend no more then ..... 75 ish. what is the ebay store called??
 
I purchased mine from ebay also. The only problem I have with mine is I need to get the booster pump. Our water pressure sucks out here.

First, I apologize greatly to AirWaterIce for neglecting to add them to our sponsor page. That grand oversight has been corrected. I have bought from the several times (never for myself, unfortunately) and have had wonderful experiences.

Secondly, schlecht13, can you give some details about why the AirWaterIce unit was better for you then the eBay unit?
 
Paul--actually I am thinking about purchasing one--thats why I picked up on this thread--so your question is a good one that I myself am trying to answer as well! My water here in south OKC has recently deteriorated quite a bit--we had a 6 ft main break about 3 weeks ago and since then, it smells different and the fish seem different (I measure our tap quality by fish health and when I tell that to the OKC water dept, they laugh--although I am serious!)
 
You can get a R.O system from Lowes for either 128 or 158... i cant remember, but i will check tomarrow when i go to work
