Where did my clowns go?

Is it possible for my nem to eat my clown fish? For some reason I have had a couple disappear with no warning or sense of dispear from the fish itself. Looked everywhere. Everything else seems to be very well.
Just wondering if anyone has suggestion or same experience.

What kind of anemone and what type of clownfish?

Have you checked behind your tank on the floor? It is possible that they abandoned ship...

Check overflow, but yeah, if forced close proximity to a new nem it's possible, or sometimes even w/out forced.

not in overflow and not on the flow. the nem has split several times...
do i need to be careful when that happens?
