This morning when my lights came on, my big yellow foxface was nowhere to be seen. He/she normally comes out of the rocks soon after the lights turn on.
no biggie ill check later.
I did notice that one of my carpet nems was Huge this morning... ehhh shoot its wanting to move for some reason...

Well later on in the day. Still no fish to be seen...
mmm ok... maybe one of the cats spooked him and he jumped out of the tank, and became a cat treat. The youngest cat has taken a liking to watch the tank. I go around the house nothing to be found or seen of fish left overs.

Sit down for dinner. What is this coming out of the carpet... ohh found him :(

I knew carpets are BAD for eating fish in a tank but I never though it eat a 8+ inch fish!

edit - quick picture taken with my droid, threw the side glass I do not often clean. not the best pictures in the world.

Thanks. I am not happy about it but it is life, and it happens in the wild all the time. I knew I was taking a risk keeping carpets but though I would be safe with bigger fish.

mine ate my small chromie and attacked my horseshoe crab good thing i was there with the crab attack nice to look at but deadly its out of my tank expensive fish for this carpet to eat gone trade it in

I picked up a Hector's goby. I add it into my tank, about 20-25 minutes later I look over and see the front 1/4 of the fish sticking out of my haddoni. It cost a dollar a minute that that fish was in the tank.
