Hey guys, So im looking in my tank and i see this thing that seems to be growing, I look closer and it turns out to be a green bubble tip anemone that must have came on with the rock I had just bought recently. The thing is maybe 1-2cm in diameter! I put my hand in to double check it and when i touched it it closed up!

Are you sure it's a bubble tip? My guess would be a Majano, but both look very similar when they're that size.

U know what bro i think it is a Majano, i was almost certain it was an anemone but i think it is a Majano. Do Majano's close up if u touch them like an anemone? If so it may be it otherwise it still is the GBTA

Well I wouldn't get to concerned yet... it's more than likely a majano, as they are known to be nuisance hitchhikers, but like I said... it's hard to differentiate them at that size.

If it does in fact turn out to be a majano, you can either inject it with joe's juice or similar product... or use kalk paste to kill it off.

...and yes, majano's, aiptasia, etc... nuisance anemone's will retract when touched.

p.s. is it bad what should i do about it if it is a Majano

Those are hard to kill but you for sure want to get rid of it. Ive never had one but I've heard of people using epoxy over it only to find it pop up someplace else.

OOH snap, wish i was at home it was so easy to just pull him out, but im not home right now, so hopefully he stayed put and ill take him out when i get home
