Where did the wholesale/retail shops go?

I went for a little saturday drooling trip to the Wood Dale / Elk Grove Village area and discovered BOTH LFS wholesalers in that area were now closed to the public. WTH?? Anybody have the skinny on why I was 0 for 2 this morning? I was just at both of them a few months ago and was shocked to find both their doors now closed to me.

Nope ReefImporters got sold to the guys. I heard that it's the guy that owns Phyto supplements. Or soothing like that. But that's kick in the but.

Both are open to the public, but be prepared to pay rape prices at beyond the reef.

I was at Beyond the reef a few weeks back and they guy there was the same guy who was at Reef Imports. From what he told me R.I. went back to wholesale but was bought by Phyto.

Xzotics is still retail but IMO the new store is HORRIBLE. They basically rented out a spot intended for offices and put tanks in all the rooms. Seems a lot smaller than the old place.
