Where do you guys buy salt?

Pet Solutions had a few sales this year where Instant Ocean was $28 for a 200g box. Of course if you spent over $45 free shipping (no tax).
They typically e-mail out the promotion in June.
I bought 3 boxes, I felt bad for my UPS man.
If you are close to downtown Tampa, Lee at Coral & Fins on Henderson sells his 200g boxes for $32.
Funny, we will be blind to prices on nice coral frags but if we pay a few dollars more on salt .. .. .. We get grumpy.
Keep in mind a 200g box of IO mixed to 1.026 only is 100g worth of supply.

This math does not seem correct. Usually a 40g barrel of water takes roughly 15cups of IO to get to 1.026, or about 3/4 of a 50gallon bag. But I'm making water today and I'm going to measure

Agreed. Its advertised as 200gallons at 1.022 salinity. I'd guess it's closer to 170gallons. But I'll know for sure in the next couple of days

Well, we buy ESV at F.A.O.I.S. Not cheap but it allows me to mix it and do a water change in minutes w/o residue in the can or it being off on salinity. Some peace of mind is worth the extra $$ when I am doing the water changes.

For those who have used this salt before, you will notice that it does take some material to achieve 1.026 if you are coming from another brand.
I exaggerated at 100g per box, but it sure feels like these boxes go quick if your aim is a true 1.026.
I perform about 52 gallons worth of water change per week, so you can imagine the rate I am burning through these boxes. Feels like two boxes a month.
I wish all salt manufacture marketing advertised their packaging quantity at 1.026 like ESV.

im sorry but whats the problem with going to your local LFS to buy your salt? last I checked amazon doesnt sell fish or corals, and it blows my mind that no one goes at least once a month to there local LFS why cant you just buy your salt then?
BTW ALL the prices you all have posted I can easily go to FAOIS and pickup at the same price or maybe better. AND I get to bullshit and buy fish and corals when im there....
