Where in Caribbean?

It really is, my sister owns a plantation up in the mountains where she has a house, my husband and I spent some wonderfull days there sitting on the porch looking out at the ocean.

There is the most amazing waterfall there too, I think its called emerald falls. You need to do a bit of hiking to get to it but its a path cut through the jungle, once you get there you feel like you have been transported back to a unspoiled eden. The water is COLD!! it felt nice after the hike tho.

no but you want to go to ambergris key that is where the diving is its great everyone speaks english since it was a colony and they have the second largest reef in the world second to the great barrier of course

St. John was very nice for snorkeling- lots of nice beach access points (many with showers). Swim out along the rocks at the end of the beach. Most of the island is a federal park.

Or even nicer, was swimming out to the tiny cay just off the beach (several of them). They are only 30-40 feet across, but circling it was fun- different life on all sides of it.

the British virgin islands are nice. the dive at the virgin gorda is awsome. its real close to the US virgin islands so you could take a ferry and check out st. johns.

I took my honeymoon in the US Virgin Islands...had great diving off St. Croix and St. John. It was 1991, so I'm quite sure there's considerably more infrastructure in both locations now and a corresponding increase in the number of diving alternatives...not to mention the costs.

As the USVI go though, I didn't care for St. Thomas...too much traffic and congestion. I can get that at home...don't really appreciate it on a tropical getway.

I've been to Belize, BVI, USVI, Puerto Rico, DOminican Rep, Bahamas, and Turks! Hands down the Turks (3rd largest reef in the WORLD!) and the Berries Islands in the Bahamas! My top two pics! Still have to hit the Cayman's, Roatan, and Cozumel soon! Already have trip tentatively scheduled to the Galapagos for this Summer :o)
my two pennies!

I've been to Aruba and it was amazing, but I stayed at one of the nicest resorts ever.. The snorkeling was really good, I went to four different places on the island.
