where to buy 4ft + clamps

Try BigLots. I got a couple of pipe clamps cheap. You got to buy pipes for them at OSH or HD.

Tools at BigLots are hit and miss though.

Home Depot Carries bar clamps that long. They aren't cheap. If your near PA, I can let you borrow a pair.

I might have to take up on this offer. How many do you have?

I think I have a couple pipe clamps too. If I still have them they're on 8 ft. pipes though. If you need me to check send me a PM.

Some is recommending the Pipe Clamp? how does this work? The tank is actually over 4ft so clamps may not work. :(

Just search on "pipe clamp" at home depot. basically the clamp bits get mounted on any length pipe ou want.

They make clamps in 6 feet as well, but they are much more $. I would get some pipe clamps. They are basically two end pieces that you attach to standard pipe. They grip the pipe and have a piece at one end that you can tighten. You can make them any lenght you want, to a point.

The look like this

The pipe in the picture is optional, you can use any pipe of the right diameter.

I don't have any 6' clamps, sorry.

sweet, I think the pipe clamps is an excelent idea.

How many do u think is needed for a tank assuming we're going to glue all the joints @ 1 time.

50 of them?? :D

No we aren't going to glue all on the same day man.. Couple pieces at a time and see how that go. Don't want to take the tank apart again..

How big is the tank?? You can totally glue all the seams in one day. It is hard in a couple min. Acrylic, right?

Why don't you build a frame to hold the bottom together and clamp the top in the short direction?

Wanna help us out?? :D

I would, but I don't do glass. I thought he was talking acrylic as he mentioned tiny bubbles. I normally accossiate that with Acrylic.

weld-on dry much faster than silicone. The last time we glued it together if we took time we wouldn't have to redo it.
