Looking to set up a species-only tank for a bobbit worm.

How would I go about setting up a tank for one of these guys? Do wou think a very basic setup of a 10 gallon, basic lighting, rock and sand for a burrow, a heater, and a HOB filter would work?

Think about it - got a problem damselfish? BAM problem solved!

I believe they get 10ft long if you're looking at eunice aphroditois. Otherwise, I would never have one of those things in my city, let alone my house, haha.

My LFS kept one as a pet many years ago in a 10g. They do not need that much room even though they get very large. Just give it a lot of rock it can hide in and feed anything meaty. They also prefer low light but even still you may have a hard time viewing it during the day. Just wait around until someone ir a store finds one in their tank and yeah they will usually give it to you.

Yeah I'm thinking I'll just check around, we have a few LFS pretty close that are decent sized so I can probably have them call me if they find one and I'll go get it.

My wife and son asked if I could get something "terrifying" Bobbie worm is about as terrifying as I can think of, I need one too.

A slightly larger tank might be a good plan, but yes, you basically just need a bunch of hiding spots, decent water, and decent food.
