Anyone know where you can get them? I know there expensive but my wife loves clowns and I want to get her a pair of rare clowns for christmas. Thanks

Doubt you can get a pair by christmas. I've read about people waiting something like 6mo. for a pair.

As for getting them, call ORA and see if there is a LFS around you that carries their fish and then ask your fish store to order them.

Another "rare" clownfish is also the Onyx clown which I personally think is a lot more attractive then the Picasso's. Have you thought about getting a different type or are you set on the Picassos?

dang, those snowflakes are UGLY!

That type of selective breading for piebald and albino color morphs is real popular among snake breeders too. I've never been much of a fan for that sort of thing.

I definitly agree with you j. Those snowflakes look like salmon right before they die. Definitly ugly looking.

i think they r beautiful. hey jsalinas1 they have pairs in the divers den on live aquaria all the time

Piebald and "snowflake" color morphs for snakes is a little different. I've never seen a piebald that just randomly has splotches of white like the snowflake clowns do. But I agree, those kind of color morphs I really don't like. Not even Picasso would like a Picasson clown I bet :(

Alas, it is all just my opinion and people are welcome to like whatever they want :) Onyx Perculas I think is as far as I would go as far as morphs are concerned though..

If you still want to look into Onyx clowns, check out Rods Reef . they are amazing looking and if you dig through this forum some you will find a thread dedicated to them. I think if I go through with my plans of setting up another 30ish gallon tank (cube this time) I'm gonna go for a pair of Onyx and a nice anemone.

Black Oscellaris aren't really "rare" but they are certainly uncommon. I love the way a black oscellaris and a orange oscellaris look swimming together. Could always try that too

I will show her pic of the onix. We have 3 blacks now, love them. They are small captive breed and in a 140 reef I have three anemones in there waiting on them to host. I will keep looking on live aquara for updates. Thanks
