Where to buy tempered glass?

I need a 2 pieces of tempered glass (11 inches by 11.25 inches) as sheild for my MH pendants. Does anyone know if a cheap place to get this?

Rex's glass on Rt19 in Peters wanted $48 a piece!!!!!!

Most of the larger glass shops will get it for you. You will just have to call around. They all send it out to the same handfull of places anyway... very few shops temper in house.

I got a few quotes for a 38x14 with 4 holes, dark grey, tempered and it was only $40-$50 depending on the shop. The smaller pieces are likely going to cost almost as much. The other problem you are going to run into is that most places don't temper under 12x12. The smaller the glass the harder it is to temper.

Also try SLS and ICECAP. They may be kind enough to sell you what you need.

The scond place will be about $50 shipped for what you want.... at that small size the thinnest they will temper is 3/16

The glass is for an SLS Lumenmax2 fixture. The Lumenmax3 comes with the glass and is the same size. I emailed SLS to see if I can just get the glass.

I really hate to buy it from them, but if it is much cheaper I probably will.

Salty Critter has the sheilds for this fixure for $14 so I ordered them from there.
