I am in search of some self gripping hooks for my DIY t5 fixture. I have found these online, but can't seem to find anything even close to it locally. I would rather spend the money locally, but will order online as a last choice. I have been to Michaels, Lowes, Hobby Lobby, Home Depot, Ace, and a couple custom framing stores.
"The term "Secure" means this product, when used with other recommneded components, will resist becoming dislodged by means of an errant bump.
Self-Gripping is a term used to describe premium hooks that require no hand tightening. These hooks use the weight of the hanging item to tighten against the cable or cord. They may be adjusted up the cable/cord with virtually no effort. To lower the hook, one simply compresses the spring action between the thumb and index finger."
