Where to mount wavebox on a 90g Oceanic RR

So, after adding two tunze 6100s on the multicontroller about 4 months ago, I still seem to have a few deadspots behind the rocks. TO see where my tunze's are placed see here:

I have been toying with the idea of a wavebox. If you look at the picture, you can see on the left theres a pretty large overflow box (the megaflow. This is a 90gallon RR tank. I guess I am just at a loss on where I could mount the wavebox. I was thinking maybe I could get the magnet into the overflow box and mount the wavebox on the right side of the wavebox facing to the right. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Also, how high does the wavebox have to be out of the water? Near that overflow box abotu 3 and a half inches over tot he right there is a starfire centerbrace that runs over the top, if the wavebox has to sit out of the water more than 1/2" I will have to rethink it all together.

I just saw a wavebox on a friends tank the other day and was so impressed by the waves it produced. But I have to say the size of the thing turned me off. If Tunze could make some sort of externally mounted wave box I think I would buy on in a heartbeat! Sorry for hijacking your thread, but I thought I'd ask if there are any plans to make an externally mounted unit?

Here are two mounting options I came up with.

Would one work better than the other? Would these even work?

Also I started looking at the water level of my tank. I have less than a half inch from the center brace to the water line but that shouldnt be a problem. However, on the border of the tank (its a 90g oceanic) its just under 1" between the water level and the plastic trim. There is no way for me to lower the water level of this tank. The megaflow is stationary and unadjustable. I need to know if I can still run a wavebox in this tank. If I dont have enough room to make a wave then I really cant even use it... I need to be sure before I buy.
Thanks guys!

As Pickle311 said, Just be aware though that you may still have detritus, all tanks generate heavier debris that can only be removed by siphoning and the complete elimination of detritus by flow is an unreasonable expectation.

No plans for an external wavebox, the mechanics would be complex and we generally shy away from anything external, a water covered floor tends to be much more of an eyesore ;)

Roger what about this:

It will work, but you would have to turn down the wave height, you could lower the water level but you would have to router down the teeth in the megaflow to do this.

hmm I'm thinking of just getting a vortech and placing it behind the rocks blowing across the back so detritus cannot settle. maybe that's a better solution. wavebox seems to really be difficult to fit in anything less than 6ft tank
