Where to put stuff?

I have questions about the best place to put the extras that were shipped with my part 2.

There are three sponges. two are the finger form and the third is more ball shaped. I assume these just need good flow and lower light. Do i epoxy these in place?

There are what I think are two gorgonians. Again they are finger shaped. I assume these are high flow - high light and I just epoxy them as well.

There is a third thing that I call a gorgonian but may not be. It has a very thin skeleton with pylops. It reminds me of the veins in a leaf. I think it likes medium/high flow too but am not sure. I had one of these attached to my rock for part 1 and it seems to do well in a higher light area with real good flow.

The decorative algae. Shaving brush goes in the substrate. What about the Halimedia and the thing that looks like a fan?

The 3rd thing is probably a gorgonian, we can tell for sure once we see pictures though :). So far it seems that the gargonians like high flow. One of ours fell over, and we left it there for about 2 days until we could go get some epoxy, and it looked really rough, lost a little flesh. So flow is important to them.

Gorgonians can be difficult to keep, but the ones from TBS are relatively easy, since they are photosynthetic. Enjoy them.

All gorgonians can either be glued in place or just place the base firmly in a suitable size hole in one of the rocks and it will eventually attach itself. Remember the tree sponges and most gorgs will need a filter feeder type food.

The halimeda and mermaids fan plants should be planted.

Good. I'm not completely off base then.

I'll need to get them arranged better. I just placed them in the tank because of a power outage.

I've started the research on feeding. I plan to order some reef Chili later today. Reviews seem to be positive.

What do people spot feed the anemonaes?

Anemones can be fed small pieces of meaty food like bits of shrimp or similar.

I would get a variety of foods for everything else, dry, live, liquid, etc.

Best idea...the base of gorgonians will regrow...

I ended up using epoxy on two of them to small rocks because i didn't find any holes that they would stick into w/o blowing away. Hopefully it'll work out ok.

I did wedge in the largest of the bunch in a hole. It'll be a question of whether it likes the spot. it's real odd shaped, Kind of looks like a chair with most of it pointing down. I may have to adjust it if I don't see it extend it's pylops. I have a feeling i may have it upside down. My weak ascii art pic of it is below.
