which anemone?

Hi, i have 1 maroon clown and am looking to get 1 more, and would like to get an anemone for them, im extremely new so havnt a clue what to get. Which anemone would be suitable i have a 49 gallon cube tank.

Anemones require a mature stable tank with pristine water. Once your tank is at least 6 mos. old an anemone could be a nice addition. The natural host for a moroon is the bta. Bta's are considered the best anemone for a hobiest to start with. Do be sure you also have proper lighting. If you are planning to pair your clown, I would recomend you pair it first. Pairing a hosting resident clown may be more difficult. Maroons are very territorial, they are extremely protective of their host and could add another level of agression. Pairing a maroon can be difficult but very rewarding when you are successful.

you could get a beautiful rose bubble tip anemone for anywhere between $50 and $100 depending on who and where you purchase it from. I would suggest researching them first, and then look for someone that is local that is selling one since it will probably be cheaper than a pet store and have more of a chance of living, but that just my opinion

I would agree, BTA or RBTA are good starter nems and are great for maroons.

true, waiting sucks=) but it sucks a lot less than the alternative=)
