trying to decide on which 48" fixture. either the 6x 54 watt sunpower or the 6x54 watt powermodule. is the powermodule worth the extra money? and if so why? tank is 60x18x24

The PM is a beautiful fixture- the sunpower has comparable performance, but not as fancy looking. If the tank were a focal point of the room, with a nice looking stand- I would go for the PM.

If it is more just a typical reef tank, the Sunpower would work well.

power module has more fans but both work really well. Im going to get a sunpower because $ is important to me.

Pm i belive as a little better reflecters, more fans, sleeker looking (comes in at twice the weight) And you get to say you have one f the best fixtures out there IMO. I went from 400w mh with vho's to the pm and LOVE it. I dont think i will ever change my light brand. I also love the fact ATI is working on a dimmer for there modales.

I also went from 400 MH's with VHO's to the PM and love it.

It all comes down to budget when choosing between the PM and SP. The PM is a fine piece of equipment.

i have a standard 90 with SPS and went wit the 8x54 PM. my thoughts are that if you ever want to upgrade, get the 8 now if not, get the sunpower 6 bulb.

I went with a Sunpower. I think it looks just as good, the only difference I see if the PM had rounded sides.

Ive been running mine for six months and love it.

I own a 48" 6 bulb ati sunpower over my 48x24x16 sps tank, and am really satisfied. Extremly powerful fixture. Look wise I think its very sleek looking.

i would choose sunpower because people say that the PM output in PAR is comparable to the sunpower but probably the more fans in the powermodule will decrease the heat which will increase performance in the bulbs and in output....
