Hello,

I'm planning my tank from 0, I want to keep at least one clam in my tank which will be very small:
35G main tank with softies, and maybe some LPS(dendro and duncan), it will have LR and LS. it will have a 175W MH 14K + 24W T5HO x2 actinics. I wont have a calcium reactor
I will also have a 13G fuge and 16G sump... my flow will be from a strong return pump: reeflo snapper., which means a strong flow...

I really loved the way derasa clams look and i woul really like to keep one small one... i know it grows very fast but i thought i will just sell it when it gets too big and then get a new smaller one, will that be possible?
how long till it gets to a "got to go" size if i will buy a 1.5-2" derasa?

the other one i could settle for will be crocea... if i will get a crocea i won't need to sell it because it will never outgrow my tank right?

thanks!

with them lights you should be able to keep any of the clams. the derasa does grow quick but i would say at least a year if he has enough room on the sand..my derasa has grown almost a half an inch in less than 3 months.. but u will have to wait at least 2 months before adding in a clam to let your tank mature..thats just my 2 cents though
