Which Clam to purchase?

My tank has been set up for 8 months and things are going well. I have lots of LPS corals and a few softies. I would now like to add a clam. I have a spot ready for him that is a "bowl shaped rock". The placement is about 27 inchies below my lights. I have a 250 Watt MH 14k and 56Watts of PC's. Will this be enough light for a Maxima or Crocea? If not will it be enough for a Derasa?

Is it a mogul or de bulb? I run 250 de 12k Geissman with Maximas, Croaceas on the sand bed about 30 inches away.

Depends on what clam you buy, the smaller the clam the less light it needs, but more photoplankton is needed as the clam grows it will need more light. Croacias need more light than max's... 250 single end is plenty of light.. but im not sure about sand bed placement, to be safe place the clam on a small flat rock so it can atach itself and then can be moved acording to its needs.....
