Which clowns to mix with black and whites?

I want to get another pair of clowns. Which will be ok with the two I have? Really would like some percs. Will they be ok. Lots of space and many corals and a BTA to host with since my black and whites only host with the sand and glass

2 Pairs in a 90g is a terrible idea and once either of them reaches spawning age the other pair will most likely be killed.

Your black and whites will become aggressive, and most likely kill any other clown that is in your tank. It might work for a while but it will turn out very bad. Your tank is way to small to mix clowns. I wouldn't mix clowns in anything less than a 150 gallon. I have done it in a 150 once. I had a pair or Percs, and a pair of skunks, both had its own nem at opposite end of the tank. Skunks and Percs are not as aggressive as your black and whites.

Aren't Black and whites just ocellaris? I always thought that ocellaris were the most peaceful type of clowns.

They are Ocellaris, but Ocellaris are not the most peaceful. I have had Percs, skunks, Ocellaris, Black and White Ocellaris, Clarki's, Sattle Backs, and Maroons. The Maroons were the worse, followed closely by the Black & Whites. The skunks were the least aggressive closely followed by Percs.

Hm, good to know. I have only had Ocellaris and Maroons. The Maroons were definitely the worst!

Agree, the female would bite the hell out of my arm.My friend Dave said his Maroons would draw blood. My black and whites would bite me just not as hard..

~+0.5

IME, my GSM pair are a bunch of babies swimming quickly away when the hand enters their lagoon unless eggs are in the area. They hide in one of their 3 caves or flower pot if no eggs around.

My newly acquired Darwin Occy will bite at it's newly introduced Orange Occyfemale, but bows when she's had enough.

I've had the worse time with biting from my Tomato pairing. Hand goes into DT and "WT.....soon to be starving clown, in the sump, with no light and possibly chum on the next fishing trip"!

I think the temperament of each fish is different, but general trends.

Yep, my last female maroon drew blood many times, once even jumped out of the tank trying to bite me and hit the floor.
She seemed to go for the webbing between my fingers, hurt like heck.
I broke many corals thanks to her surprise attacks, and she would even head butt corals if I placed them too close to her nem.
While she was the meanest to me, she wasn't too bad w/ other fish, so I tolerated it.
Now my Clarki's were a different story, when they spawned, they went after all fish, and had to go.
Pink skunks were by far my most passive, and my picasso's are pretty mellow right now too, and they have been spawning regularly.

Having more than one pair of clowns in the same tank is asking for trouble & usually doesn't end good. You'll probably end up with one pair again when spawning pair picks off others they percieve as threats....
