Why does everyone say that and who started that rumor. Ex. You have friends over for dinner ( you are the host ). You give your friends food and the go home.
Clown picks an anemone to HOST. The clown sits with the anemone and brings food etc. and protect one another.
If you have multiple clowns and anemones the clowns will LOVE one anemone over another and take care of it.
Asks the person who dug up the 5 year old thread.
But in all seriousness... I would call not the term "host" a rumor. Did you even bother to look up what "host" means?
It means:
"an animal or plant on or in which a parasite or commensal organism lives."
Does the anemone live in the clown, or does the clown live in the anemone? 'nuff said. But I'll continue...
Clowns don't feed their host nems in nature. People see clowns in their tanks taking food back to the nem and assume the clown is trying to feed it. Not true. They're simply taking it back to their home, the home just happens to eat the food. Furthermore, in nature clowns typically don't survive without an anemone host. But anemones can easily survive without clowns.
