Arrgghhhhhhhhhhhh so do you think watching your new prize fish getting the crap beat out of it by every fish in the tank is worse than being the actual fish!!!!

I almost hate getting a new fish only to have to sit and watch the poor thing get picked on specially when the fish putting the beat down on is the same fish that had the crap beat out of it when it was placed in the tank. How soon they forget :mad2: :mad2:

anyone else hate this and/or have a way to acclimate a fish without the beating?

Whats worse is you didnt research your stock. This can be avoided all together or made much easier by the order they are added in .From least aggresive to most.
Also turning lights out and moving rock work around may help with new stock.

guess you got me there, I mean I didn't read that clown fish were non aggressive nor that a naso was a peaceful fish except maybe towards another tang, and lets not forget the damsel the poor tiny little yellow tailed guy who could care less about the new fish nope its the Naso, never did find anything about it being so aggressive though, never thought it would bother a few anthias,

Wow never heard of covering the sides but its worth a shot, the lights have been off all day I knew the fish were coming today so turned off the light timer.

Thanks LoJ

I'd give it a few days as they're trying to establish a social hierarchy. The new fish is like the new guy in the office who gets picked on by everyone :p

Wait a few days...

Last resort would be to re-aquascape and reintroduce the whole crew all at the same time.
