Which Flow Pattern Do You Prefer?

Previously I ran a nano tank (15G). I used maxijet and directed the flow toward the glass to generated an indirected flow. SPS's were very happy and showed maximal polyp extension.

Now I ran a 50G tank and I used a pair of Tunze 6000 streams with multicontroller. I cannot directed the streams to the glass since the Tunze streams are too strong and it will blow the water out of the tank and create sand storm. I am now using Interval 1 and minimial switch time to create a wave pattern. But the flow created is quite strong and SPS's do not have maximal polyp extension as in the nano tank.

If you were me, how would you set up the flow in the tank?

I know the tunze forum recommends interval 2 for pump life.

Also I'd make sure to use the nightmode as both pumps go down to 30%. At night all corals end up extending polyps once things calm down from the usual hectic flow.

The sand makes it a big problem for storms, though they'll stop once the sand adjusts to your flow (like nature). But I might consider aiming each tunze at the opposite corner.

Ex: The back left pump at front right corner. This should avoid to much blowing once things settle down, it also makes a quieter spot under the pumps.
