Which GHL Propeller Breeze?

ReefRockerLive

I am going to have buy something to cool my tank a lot sooner than expected. Last night and during most of today my tank hit a high of 84.6 F! If my tank is already getting this hot, I wonder how much hotter it can get during the summer!

Anyways, having originally wanted to build my own fan kit. I figured with a tank with many corals, I should take the plunge and buy a quality unit. I'm looking at the 3 fan and 4 fan model. Does anyone think I can get away with the 3 fan model? Also, if I get the fan controller too, does that mean I will not have to use up a powerbar socket?

TIA

If you can swing it go for the Breeze 4 this has some awsome air flow!

If you use the fan controller then no you dont have to use a switchable power bar socket.

Hope that helps

thanks for the update i was running the breeze on the socket and have the controller

running it off the controller is a lot more to my liking

I have both L3 and L4 available. Does connecting the fan controller take up both L3 and L4 or just L3? So, for every PB fans I would need one controller to go with it?

PropellerControl needs one free L-channel. You can select if the lower channel (L1, L3, L5 resp. L7) or the higher channel (L2, L4, L6 resp. L8) should be used. Selection via jumper inside PropellerControl.

One PropellerControl is necessary for each PropellerBreeze.

Do you have the CFM numbers for the units available ??? Im thinking about getting one to blow across my fuge, but wanted to see if it would move as much air as my current fan.....

I have no CFM data, I am not sure if Matthias can supply this.

But I have not come across one fan that can even come close to the power and quietness of these units.

To give an example a 4 fan model will adequately keep the heat off a 6 foot tanks surface.
