Which Halimeda for the Main tank?

I am planning to add halimeda to my main tank. Inland Aquatic has 3 different kinds:"Halimeda opuntai", "Halimeda incrassata, monile", and "Halimeda tuna".

Which one would you recommend? Some halimeda I saw in LFS look very messy for some reason. Any idea?

I think Inland spelled opuntia wrong. That is my favorite species. I believe it has the largest "segments" of the three you listed. I think it also uses the most calcium, though. I have gotten incrassata in shipments from florida w/ other algae but it has never done well for me.

too bad u don't live near be, i'd give u a coupled branches for free
stuff grows like a weed in my tank
check local reefers someone may have some for u

Must agree with Kevin that H. opuntia is the easiest to deal with.

Also need to agree with crimson that a local reef club is the best source. Halimeda's don't always enjoy being shipped, repeatedly exposed to air, and manhandled in general. In the LFS it's probably a combination of those things in addition to a lack of carbonate alkalinity.

That said, Inland is as upstanding a place as you'll find...IMHO.
