I have a tang and a flame angel in QT, when I got them the tang had ick so I added copper to the qt but removed it after 3 days because the tang stopped eating. Now another 3/4 days later they are eating great and look healthy other than they both are scratching. How should I treat them?

i would treat with Cupramine copper.

Thanks, I just wondered if there was anything else that made them scratch other than ich? I have added the cupramine again and the tang has gone into hiding, I'm at .3, is that high enough to kill ich, I worry if I add more it will kill the tang.

Flukes. I always treat all my fish with Prazipro and Cupramine (yes, those two can be combined.)

Ragged fins, cloudy eye, marks on the body, heavy breathing, etc, but very often you can't tell they have them. Since you only treated with copper for 3 days I'm sure ich is still there and that is the problem. But, flukes is so common and hard to detect sometimes I treat ALL fish for flukes before letting them out of QT.

So can I leave the cupramine at .3 and add prazipro, will .3 be enough to kill ich?

Yes, but Seachem always recommends 0.5.

When you see all the other symptoms (besides scratching) they are heavily infested with flukes.
