I have a P.ciliata in a 10g for around 5-6 months doing great, I know two mantis shimps can't live in a 10g. My LFS has this Lysiosquillina glabriuscula or a Lysiosquillina maculata and I like him two so do I trade my P. ciliata for it or just keep living life the way it is?

They are really different kettles of fish, really. The L. maculata has a significant "kewl factor" that is balanced by the need for a really deep sand bed (twice as deep as the animal is long) and a complete lack of activity. OTOH I wouls assume that your P. ciliata is much more interactive?

The choice is yours, but I for one would keep the P. ciliata if I had to pick -- especially with that nice racing stripe paint job.

L.mac are ambush predators who sit in their burrow, waiting for food to come by.

P.ciliata are reevolved Smashers. They are active like a Peacock, will stalk a damsel like a Leopard, and they are just plain cool.
