Which setting to start with on wave box..

I have a 300g (8 foot long-2 foot wide-31inches tall) When I put the wave box in how close to the top of the tank do i put it? Where do I start with the pulse setting...with longest pulse or shortest? How long should I leave on setting before adjustment?

Set the water height to the wavy blue line on the front of the box.

Start with the knob turned all the way counterclockwise then turn it clockwise in hair width increments waiting a few seconds to see the result. Tuning it the first time can take a few hours.

I dont uderstand about setting the water height to the "wavy blue line"? I thought the whole unit was supposed to be under the water?

How big of a wave would you expct in a tank my size?

No, if it is all the way under water it will not work. It has to empty and fill and it needs to take in air to accomplish that. Depending on the position and density of the rock structure and the position of the overflow(s) the wave could reach 2" tall.
