Does anyone have a suggestion on which stream I should purchase for a 40 gallon mixed reef breeder? Any advice would be appreciated. I was looking at the nanostream 6055 with the 7095 controller since that is the only nanostream that is controllable. Thanks for the help
I love my tunze that I have but I would be careful of the nanos they have had a bad reputation for breaking the bracket unless tunze has fixed that prob. If they have then the 6055 would be a great choice.
on the nanos there is a bracket that holds the pump to the magnet and I know of 2 people that have had theres break on them and tunze told them that it was a defect that they were trying to get fixed but like I said they may have already fixed it by now I would ask roger at tunze and find out.I do now that the people that I know still have broken brackets.
The problem was rectified about 2 months ago or so(dont remember exactly when the new revision came out). the material they are made from was changed from Lexan to Luran and the design was slighty altered making the tabs thicker thus solving both the tabs breaking and the clamp portion cracking at the arm.
Anyone that has a broken one simply needs to PM or email roger with thier name and contact info(address etc...) and he is replacing them as he gets more in under warranty
If you can do it I would go with two so you can vary the flow patterns. If you wanted to save a bit of money maybe consider 1 6055 on a 7091 and one 6025/45 possibly. But I admit I am a big fan of the 6055 and the variable flow from it. I ran a pair of them in my 58 with a Eheim 1260 return and was very happy
