I am choosing a substrate for my new tank which will be housing a cat shark.
I want an ALL BLACK substrate, NO WHITE in it.
Do I want a buffering Substrate?
These are the two I have narrowed it down too:
Tropic Isle Tahitian Moon Sand
Non-Buffering, will not affect pH.
Extra fine grade will not harm the shark.
or
Tidal Marine Substrate Gray Coast Calcite
All-natural substrate helps stabilize calcium and alkalinity and prevents large pH declines.
More coarse, may harm the shark.
Any and all opinions/suggestions are welcome.
Thanks everyone.
