Which tang?

I have a 100 gallon display with a 40 sump/fuge and lots of corals mainly softies and clams. I would love to add a "small" tang.

I have seen the tamini and like them but a healthy smaller one is hard to find right now around me. What you all think?

Also is a small tang a good idea for a reef in general? Right now this is my stock list:

1green clown goby
1 bangi cardinal
1 chromis
2 small true percs
1 firefish

I was hoping for one small"ish" tang, about ~10 more green chromis OR anthias "less #" and then finally my mandarin.

I would say Tomini or Kole tangs are great. Pretty much any of the bristle tooth tangs out there are great. Maybe a chevron.

A kole would be a good fit for that sized tank. It is the least active tang I own. Tends to stay around the liverock than in the water column. Make sure you have a mature tank with lots of natural algae for it to graze on. It took mine about a month before it ate any prepard food.

I recently purchased what some call a "blue eyed kole tang". Its actually called the two spot bristlemouth tang, but most people just call it a blue eyed kole tang. Its very similar to the yellow eyed kole, but its grayer and has blue markings around the eyes. He grows to roughly the same size as the kole tang and, IMO, is better looking than the yellow eyed kole tangs. They are pretty rare, however, and you might have look around pretty hard to find one, but it might be worth it to you if you are looking for something a little different.
