which tangs get along

Hi,

i have a 180 reef mainly SPS, etc. I have a naso tang, flame and coral beauty, cromis, purple fire. Currently the naso is the only tang but i would like to add others. Any suggestions on which tangs tend to get along

Most smaller tangs seems to be more tolerant of others like kole and tomini. Zebrasoma family can be a hit or miss, and most in acanthurus family are badasses especially sohal and clown.

You could also look into rabbitfish. They are kinda tang-ish and would get along good

Not certain, but I think a 180 might be a bit small for a naso. They get pretty huge.

Tank size and tangs that are purchased at the same size and same time have a lot to do with success IMO. I have a clown, orange shoulder and a Sohal and if you were to ask people if that could be done I don't think a single person would tell you yes

You could also look into rabbitfish. They are kinda tang-ish and would get along good

+1 for Rabbits, they are very interesting fish to watch, lots of personality, very pretty, and can stand their own ground but also pick on hair algae just as a tang would. They are also much more peaceful and super hardy, I have never seen one with an eating disorder.
