I have a 5' 120g tank with an outlet in each corner from my return (mag9). I have all my SPS on the far (right) side. I currently have an mp40 blasting the SPS but its just too loud for my liking.

Just looking for something to replace the mp40 with

I think 2 6095, one on each side would be the ideal, but a single 6105 with wide flow housing (included on new pumps) would cover the tank.

Do the 6095s work with an apex controller and can you do wave making and all that jazz? Also, are they both silent (6095 and 6105)?
I do have a nozzle in each corner of the tank you can kind of see in the picture which is the return (mag9)..It IS T'd off to a spraybar in my fuge, but not taking much flow away, just FYI.
Thanks!

It is virtually impossible for anything that moves to be "silent", but I would say for sure, for the flow rates, both pumps are the quietest available, the 6095 would be quieter.

You can connect them to an Apex, creating a wave with the Apex is possible but most people tell me it is difficult to set up, but I have no first hand experience with the Apex.

The flow of the Mag 9 is really pretty minicule in the scope of the flow needs of that tank, I would almost not even consider it as part of the flow equation, after the feet of head and the T to the refugium, it is probably doing around 400-500 gph.

Just food for thought - the instruction manuals have awful english translation! Maybe a site or youtube links for setup/installation would be helpful for some people. Not that they are too difficult to setup or anything - just a thought really.

We did hire a new translator last fall and I have seen his work and it is greatly improved over the previous translators work, over time as the manuals are revised, they will improve. They will probably always be a bit off to American readers as the goal is an Oxford English translation that would be understood the world over since English is a more or less universal language. We do plan to do more Youtube videos in the future and there are many 3rd party reviews as well.
