okay as some of you know I am building my tank stand so that the tank sits off the wall while the stand is against the wall.
Therefore the back part of the stand will have a hinged lid for easier access to some of the tank equipment.
Question is with the lid for the back being on the stand should I add a board to the top front so that when the lid is closed the bottom edge of the tank is even with it or just let the tank set below the lid.
There is a trim board going all the way around the top of the stand but it must be even with the bottom of the tank (in order for the canopy I already have to match.
Which way would look better in the long term. I need to know as I need to add the extra board now or not at all.
