Which would you choose for 90g Cube (30x30" long)

Right now I have dual 6000s on a 7095 multicontroller, however I have been considering getting a wavebox and a couple nano streams instead. Would it be worth it to sell my 6000s and get the wavebox?

What would all of you reefers prefer (including Roger?) :)

From what I understand, waveboxes don't really do anything for short tanks. Since your longest wall is 30", its too short to get the wave effect. I believe they say it works best on 5' and longer tanks? But someone who knows more will confirm here I'm sure.

I don't really care if I get a 2" swell on my tank, I just want to see my coral polyps swaying in the water back in forth. I would actually prefer not to get the a big swell at the top of my water level :)

I still don't think its going to do what you want it to do. It works by finding the exact setting of sending water out and back to create the "swaying" motion in the water. If you can't find that exact setting, it ends up being more like a stream. From what I've heard, the pump inside the wavebox can't turn on and off fast enough to accomodate a tank shorter than 4 or 5 feet. I'm sure roger will jump in here, but he's probably at MACANA so you might have to wait till Monday.

Thanks for your input Matt, and you're probably right. I've wanted one of these for so long now, it sucks that it probably can't be used :(

Yes, unfortunately the wavebox really only works well on tanks 48"+ and 32" is the absolute minimum.
