While waiting for the 2nd half

Hey TBS
Since I'll be waiting 2 or three weeks for the second half on my package, is there anything I should do to the 1st half while it's in the tank? Do I need to add any food or anything else to keep my LR vibrant with life? This delay will also give me more time to study the Mantis Shrimp that I have in the tank. Damn them things are smart.
