White cap goby feeding help

So I have had a white cap goby for close to a month and I have been feeding it dr. Gs caviar which it like(it's only about an inch so it needs small food), long story short I left the food out overnight and it smelled really bad so I threw it out, my concern is that I have been feeding a new type of eggs to him that are still white but are a bit smaller. They hide a lot so I don't usually get to see him eat, do you think he will starve to death or take he new food. I also feed the other fish a custom food blend I made if he was hungry so you think he would eat this? I'm worried my little guy will starve to death

My recommendation would be to set up live food cultures like tigger pods for long term.
For short time, in a mature tank, it should usually find enough pods.

I have had my suspicions that he has been eating copepods but I find it hard to believe he could live long term off them, this fish is extremely skittish and hides in a closed burrow with a pistol shrimp for most of the time, some days they don't come out at all.
